Introduction

This unit can be used as either a formative Year 10 assessment (using the film poster as the assessment) or towards a summative Year 11 assessment (preparing students for the Shaping Up AS90059 (English 1.8) task).

Assessment Task: Film Poster Choose an important idea from your text. You are planning a poster highlighting that important idea.

Refer to the Shaping Up assessment activity as you develop your poster. Look at the exemplars in this activity which are comparable to the task you are working on. Discuss the exemplars' strengths and areas they could be improved.
