Introduction
In this unit students read and analyse a range of New Zealand poems. Students complete responses to the poems as part of formative work for AS90055 (English 1.4): Read study and understand a number of short written texts. They also present web pages on poems they have selected. The purpose of the web page is to explain a poem to classmates and interest them in it. This component of the unit is assessed using AS90059 (English 1.8): Produce a Media or Dramatic Presentation.
