During this unit children will develop an understanding of the nature of a disaster, the need for personal preparation in terms of creating emergency plans and gathering contents for survival kit, and an awareness of the Civil Defence Organisation, its presence and purpose in their own community.

Brochure presentation:

  • A4 page divided and folded into 3 parts.
  • Both sides to be used - text plus graphics.
  • Statement about Civil Defence.
  • Statement about emergencies.
  • Instructions on how to react in Civil Emergency.
  • Contents of Survival Kit.

This work may be produced with paper/pencils, paint, etc. or on computers.
