Technology in Society (L3) Interview family members to find out about the types of moving toys in their childhood, looking at similarities and differences to present-day toys.

When the students have completed their toys they seminar_planning (RTF 8KB) and seminar_prep (RTF 12KB) a seminar, on how their toy works, presenting designs, plans, outcomes and the highlights of the construction process.

Students write notes for their seminar using journal entries, thumbnail sketches and storyboard planning.

Students present their moving toy to a partner and talk about their plan, design and the construction of the toy. They explain and demonstrate how the toy works, what went well and what they needed to change during the construction process. Partner to give peer_feedback (RTF 81KB) based on the criteria for the moving toy and "planning a seminar" notes.
