Technological Capability (L3) Select and design a puppet, listing the materials required.
Technology in Society (L3) Interview family members to find out about the types of puppets in their childhood, looking at similarities and differences to present day puppets.

Close Reading Read and relate the meanings of written texts (puppet plays) to personal background knowledge and experience. Read a variety of plays and decide which and explain why some would be suitable as a puppet play.

Students explore and demonstrate the conventions of puppet plays and how use of voice is important.
